Students who complete this course will have the knowledge and abilities to master the fundamentals of agility and agile project management.
This course will cover the history, methodology, and philosophy of agile project management and the Scrum framework. Students will discover how to distinguish between and combine Agile with other project management methodologies.
Students gain knowledge of how to implement Agile’s value-driven delivery strategies to create the product vision and roadmap. Students also discover how to build, manage, and refine a product backlog, define user roles, and compose user stories using the organizational strategy as the cornerstone. Other subjects studied are project selection, chartering, scrum, Kanban, team development, release planning, value assignment, retrospectives, and risk management. Agile culture and ethics are also covered.
Students learn by doing through encouragement to apply acquired skills and knowledge learned throughout the course immediately to their own projects learn by doing, using their own projects for most activities.
