A. Candidates have to provide the following requirements to be considered eligible for admission to the BBA Program as “Qualification Students”:

1. The International Baccalaureate, the European Baccalaureate or an equivalent Overseas Qualifications. A minimum pass grade of the equivalence of 50% is required.

2. Proof of English Language Proficiency (IELTS: score 5.0 or equivalent)

a) Where the last degree at a school where English is the primary medium of instruction the requirement for providing a proof of English Language Proficiency is waived.

b) Students that do not meet the English Language proficiency requirements for admission can apply for Conditional Admission. Conditional Admission will allow students to improve their English Language before attending SEC.

B. Only Accredited Formal Learning units/ modules obtained at EQF/ MQF Level 6 that covers at least 80% of the contents of the program’s equivalent corresponding units/ modules shall be considered for exemption. Exemptions shall only be approved for whole Modules/ Units and not for individual elements of assessment within a Module/ Unit and up to a maximum of 30% of the total credit of the Qualification.

N.B.
No Arabic Language entry requirements are foreseen for this program.
The current intention is to allow for our faculty to further explain a difficult point to students who request such explanation in the Arabic Language during live session as this is a first degree (level 6) program.

The academic year contains two semesters. All modules/units are mandatory. Students are required to complete all units at Level 6 to achieve the BBA Degree (level 6 Bachelor’s Degree). Learners are expected to attend lectures, tutorials, self-studies, and assessments that will introduce the required subject, which can be completed within three years.

The program generally employs the educational instruments of “Flipped Classroom”, “Interactive eLearning” and “Continuos Assessment” through:-

– Weekly Online recorded asynchronous video-lectures covering all intended learning outcomes. (per each module unit)

– Weekly quizzes &/or Assignments covering the outcomes of the video-lectures (per each module unit)

– Weekly scheduled synchronous online tutorial discussions. (per each module unit)

– Periodic synchronous seminars covering all learning outcomes for the program

– Periodic overarching assignments assessing the deep understanding and command of the interconnections of the intended learning outcomes between different program modules and units.

– Method of delivery is through virtual classes (Zoom) and learning management system (Moodle LMS)
